We are happy to announce that our new Board Eligible Status program is ready for applicants! This is a new path towards earning your PVIP Board Certification. The Pathway allows applicants to sit for their PVIP exam prior to completing the experience requirements.
This only applies for our PVIP Board Certification and you do not become Board Certified upon passing the exam. You will not receive a Digital Badge or be mentioned on our Professional Directory until you meet all the necessary requirements.
In order to qualify, applicants must meet the relevant training requirements for the PVIP Board Certification. Candidates will have one (1) year to pass the PVIP exam or four (4) attempts after the course end-date. To qualify as a fully certified PV Installation Professional, every Applicant must complete all requirements, regardless of background, education, experience or geographic location.
In this new program, Board Eligible Professionals would have three years from passing the PVIP exam to complete the experience requirements to convert status to Board Certified.
Fees: Exam and application fees are required at the time of initial application. Once Board Eligible professionals complete their experience requirements, they must complete a Conversion Application to attain full Certification status; no additional fees will be due for converting from Board Eligible to Board Certified.
